On Friday Nov 11th, Remembrance Day, Mackay West State School will pause to remember.
The whole school will attend a short commemorative service under West Wing; led by our school captains. Students and staff will all wear a poppy. All essential elements of a Remembrance Day service will be observed such as the Last Post, The Minutes Silence and the saying of The Ode. Mackay West remembers and respects those who gave their lives and those who still serve. Members of the public & school community are welcome to attend. Organisers request guests be seated by 10.45am.
