Rugby League Gala Day

Selected Mackay West State School students will proudly represent our school at the upcoming Rugby League Gala Day.

The Gala Day provides students with a fantastic opportunity to develop their rugby league skills, demonstrate teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship, and enjoy competing against students from schools across the district.

📅 Date: Wednesday 24 June 2026

📍 Venue: Abbott Park Jnr Rugby League Grounds

⏰ Arrival Time: Students should arrive by 8:30am and report to their supervising teacher.

Important Information

🚗 Transport: Parents and carers are responsible for transporting students to and from the venue.

👕 Uniform: Students should wear their designated school rugby league playing uniform and appropriate footwear.

🧢 What to Bring:

• School hat
• Water bottle
• Packed lunch and snacks
• Sunscreen
• Any personal playing equipment required

🍎 Canteen: A canteen will be available throughout the day. Students are also encouraged to bring their own lunch and refreshments.

Representing Mackay West

Participation in representative sport is a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build confidence and strengthen friendships while representing Mackay West State School.

We encourage all players to display excellent sportsmanship, respect for officials and opponents, and a positive attitude throughout the day.

We wish all of our Rugby League players every success and know they will represent our school with pride by giving "Always Our Best!"
