National Reconciliation Week – 27 May to 3 June – is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
We are all encouraged in our everyday lives to continue to educate for equitable for all peoples. This year we are continuing our annual Reconciliation walk on Thursday 1st June. Reconciliation Walk - Thursday June 1 / Wear it Yellow in support of Children's Ground.
Parents and members of the community are welcome to either observe, or join in the walk. Students are encouraged to Wear it Yellow & bring along a gold coin donation. Please remember Sunsafe clothing (sleeves, collars etc) & closed-in (school approved) shoes.
- Year 2-6 students will meet at West Wing at 8:15am for the walk.
- Year 2-6 commence walking at 8.25am.
- Year P-1 students will line up in u/cover area of Junior Campus at 8.30am, and move to south east corner of Junior Campus to meet senior campus students.
On arrival at Junior Campus, Prep and Year 1 students will join the walk.
Special gathering around the deck on the Junior Campus (10 mins) with Acknowledgement to Country from Prep D. Following the walk, year 2-6 students will return to West Wing before moving to classes.
